The section of Anatomy has a diverse highly motivated, experience and enthusiastic faculty, which believe in using multiple input channels for acquisition, a simulation and retrieval of anatomical knowledge, essential for future medical practitioners. We are practicing multiple learning strategies including interactive lectures, small group sessions, tutorials, PBL sessions and interactive demonstration for imparting principles of basic anatomical knowledge as well as their clinical application. To achieve objectives narrated in mission statement of Shifa College of Medicine, the section of anatomy is practicing horizontal integration of undergraduate medical curriculum with parallel disciplines (Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine and Behavioral Sciences) as well as vertical integration with clinical sciences (General Surgery, Orthopedics, NeuroSurgery, Ophthalmology, Obstetric & Gynecology, ENT and Hepato-biliary Surgery). Our students are exposed to the patients and hospital environment at the very beginning of their curriculum to enhance vicarious learning.
The section of Anatomy is one of the most well developed sections of Shifa College of Medicine having straight of the art dissection hall, cadaveric museum, latest histology laboratory, equipped with high tech multi head Olympus microscope with image analysis facilities.
