Fection of Ophthalmology is a professorial ophthalmic department. The department is staffed by highly experienced, research orientated and highly motivated faculty. It organizes under-graduate teaching by practicing multiple learning stratigies-by lectures (audio-visual / multimedia/ interactive/ black board/ small group teaching,PBL sessions ) Clinical rotation training in outpatient setting and inpatient ward clinical rounds. Daily Morning report, Digital and slide discussions, Use of teaching assistoscopes with slit lamp and Operating microscope, CCTV and video surgery are extensively used to enhance clinical knowledge. CPC at regular intervals are also held.
Shifa College of Medicine ,Section of Ophthalmolgy has two ophthalmic units-Unit I and Unit II, under One Professor of Ophthalmology.
