The subject of Pathology is vast and the syllabus is covered in two years. It encompasses various branches like General pathology & immunology which deals with the general concepts of diseases. Microbiology which includes Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology & Parasitology. Organ pathology, hematology dealing with diseases of blood cells & transfusion, chemical pathology which deals with biochemical changes in the body. General Pathology, Immunology & Microbiology are taught in 3rd year & the rest the students take up in 4th year.
